Charles was born in London, England, on April 16th 1889. He inherited his versatile yet unique talent from his parents who also belonged to acting and the field of creativity. He worked in his first acceptable stage show at the age of 14 and appeared as “Billy” the page boy, in support of William Gillette in “Sherlock Holmes”. Soon after this, Charlie started a career as a comedian in vaudeville, which eventually took him to the United States in 1910 as a featured player with the Fred Karno Repertoire Company. He did not have to look back after that as he was an instant hit with the American audience and was soon offered a role in a motion picture. Chaplin’s adaptability and versatility never ended there. It extended to writing, music and sports. Bill Cosby, since his very childhood was much famous for his propensity for clowning around and making jokes. He was also very involved in sports. He played football, basketball, baseball, and was on the track team. He was very hard working. As he worked at different places like at a supermarket stocking shelves, a shoe shine boy, and even worked at shoe repair shop to help his family. But of course he could not see himself doing that for the rest of his life. That was probably when he must have realized the value of education, as he got himself an equivalency diploma through correspondence courses. He worked so hard that he even got himself a scholarship to the Temple University in Philadelphia. Even throughout all that, he kept on ‘clowning around’ telling jokes and making his friends and co-workers laugh. USIA majalah Playboy baru 6 tahun saat memajang Yvette Vickers sebagai Miss July 1959 dengan memperlihatkan bokong indahnya.

“Pengacara kami merasa kita bakal kesulitan jika memajang fotonya,” ingat Hugh Hefner, bos dan pendiri Playboy seperti dikutip People, Jumat (6/5). “Dia sungguh ingin menghentikan percetakan dan mengubah foto Playmate. Tapi ku bilang, ‘Biarkan saja begitu.’”

Lebih 50 tahun kemudian, Hefner menerima pesan soal Vickers, kali ini lewat Twitter. Mantan model Playboy (Playmate) dan ratu film-film kelas B ditemukan kaku tak bernyawa di rumahnya. Dia tewas tanpa seorang pun tahu hampir selama setahun. Umurnya 82 tahun.

NEW YORK – Lady Gaga isn't letting her ill-fated tour with Kanye West keep her from her fans.

A day after her joint tour with the rapper was canceled, the pop star said she'll be hitting the road solo.

"We mutually decided to cancel the tour. He's going to take some time off, but I'm not," the 23-year-old said in an interview before accepting the "Rising Star" honor at Billboard's annual Women in Music event Friday.

"Kanye and I talked about it. We talked about it a lot, as well as with Live Nation," she added.

West and Lady Gaga's tour, titled "Fame Kills," was supposed to kick off Nov. 10 in Phoenix. Live Nation announced its cancellation on Thursday with no explanation, but West had said last month that he was considering taking time off to reassess his behavior.

West has endured a firestorm of negative publicity since storming the stage at MTV Video Music Awards last month and hijacking Taylor Swift's award-winning moment. Swift was giving her acceptance speech after winning best female video when West — known for his awards-show outbursts — grabbed the microphone and declared that Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," also nominated, was one of the "best videos of all time."

Beyonce, who was honored by Billboard as its "Woman of the Year," spoke about West's actions during the event.

"I knew his intentions and I knew he was standing up for art," she said.

But she didn't know that he planned a public protest.

"When he walked on the stage I was like no, no, no," she recalled laughing.

Beyonce, who won the video of the year honor at the VMAs, invited Swift back onstage to give her acceptance speech — and said in the end, everything worked out.

"Taylor Swift had her moment and I didn't have to give an acceptance speech!"

Gaga said while she didn't approve of what West did, he is a friend and she is standing by him "because everyone makes mistakes and it is important to forgive one another."

"He's a good person," she added.

Gaga said her new tour will kick off in mid-Novemeber. Her platinum-selling debut CD, "The Fame," will be rereleased on Nov. 24.

Michael Jackson was healthy before death

Michael Jackson was in good health until he was injected with a lethal cocktail of drugs hours before he died.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's autopsy report has revealed the singer - who died of acute Propofol intoxication on June 25 - was not suffering from any serious physical problems at the time of his death.

Apart from slightly inflamed lungs and minor arthritis, he was in a "good condition", with a healthy heart and kidneys and "weight average for his height".

His sexual organs were also functioning normally, with the report noting Michael was still producing sperm when he died.

The findings are likely to put pressure on Michael's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray - who allegedly injected him with the powerful anaesthetic that killed him - as it proves the singer had no underlying health conditions that might have contributed to his death.

The post mortem also revealed bizarre details about Michael's body, including a tattoo on his scalp that stretched from ear to ear in a bid to hide his receding hairline and baldness.

His remaining hair was "tightly curled" and cut short so it could be hidden under his long, flowing wigs.

His lips had been tattooed pink and his eyebrows blackened with more ink.

The coroner's report also suggests Michael was not lying about suffering from vitiligo - a rare skin pigmentation disease he blamed for his transformation from black to white - with the physician noting that he had patches of black skin on his legs and elsewhere on his body.

Injuries inflicted by frantic attempts to revive the star were also visible on his body, including cracked ribs and extensive bruising.

Michael's death was ruled a homicide last month.

Elizabeth Smart: Captor 'used religion'

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Elizabeth Smart, testifying Thursday at a hearing in Salt Lake City for the man accused of abducting her in 2002, said he "used religion to get what he wanted."

Smart, 21, described for U.S. District Judge Dale Kimball how Brian David Mitchell took her at knifepoint from her home when she was 14, The Salt Lake Tribune reported. Smart said Mitchell forced her to hike to his home, where his wife, Wanda Eileen Barzee, forced her to change from her pajamas into a robe and Mitchell performed a marriage ritual, the newspaper said.

"After that, he proceeded to rape me," Smart testified during the hearing to determine Mitchell's competency to stand trial.

Mitchell has been diagnosed with a delusional disorder.

Smart said Mitchell raped her three to four times a day for the nine months she was held captive and claimed he was a prophet of God.

"He used religion to get what he wanted," she testified. "He had an excuse for everything he did with a religious side to it."

U.S. District Attorney Brett Tolman said Smart's testimony established that Mitchell was primarily interested in getting away with criminal acts, the newspaper said. Defense attorney Robert Steele said some of Smart's testimony supported the suggestion that Mitchell is delusional.

Smart said Mitchell made her use alcohol and drugs and exposed her to pornography.

"Anything I showed resistance or hesitation to, he would turn to me and say, 'The Lord has commanded you to do this, you have to experience the lowest form of humanity to experience the highest,'" she testified.

The next hearing on Mitchell's competency is scheduled for Nov. 30.

Kanye West and Lady Gaga are set to join forces on their "Fame Kills" tour. These two are so high drama, we can't know what to expect. I'm sure this is the image want to convey to fans as excess is a draw in both their careers. Gaga and West push boundaries more than anyone else on the scene right now. Their promo for the tour is no exception. The pulp image of a naked Gagita and Kanye's hand reaching around her torso plays on so many taboos that it borders cliché.

Gagita can hold her own next to Kanye. I'm not worried about that, but she's gonna need a plan for all the last minute stunts he'll be planning to get in on her end of the show. When the "Fame Kills" tour ends, Gaga is going to need some time to reflect of her own.

The Story:

"What's Your Raashee?" is a romantic comedy about a young man who needs to get hitched in ten days and finds love through zodiac signs.

'What's Your Raashee?' tells the story of a Chicagoan, Yogesh Patel (Harman Baweja), who returns to Mumbai with the false news of his ailing father. Instead, he's desperately called back home to free his family from utter ruin. In order to bail his family out of the financial mess, Yogesh must get married in ten days. If Yogesh meets the deadline, he will inherit his grandfather's estate and pay off all of his family loans. After lots of emotional blackmail and restless nights due to jetlag, Yogesh agrees to marriage without the acceptance of dowry.

One night, Yogesh is inspired by a book on astrology and decides to begin his bride hunt by meeting one girl from every raashee - zodiac sign. Harman Baweja as Yogesh Patel - a popular DJ and bachelor from the University of Chicago who is desperately called back to Mumbai to save his debt-ridden family by getting married in ten days. He agrees to meet one girl from each of the 12 zodiac signs but can't figure out which one he actually loves.

Mallika - an ambitious Leo, she's an easygoing girl and a passionate modern dancer.

Pooja - a Virgo, she's a sexy microbiologist from Kampala who wears yellow sarees and is keen on trying new things. As a doctor, she expects Yogesh to support her in all of her ventures.

Rajni - the Libra, a modern businesswoman looking for a contract marriage to save her from an ongoing CBI enquiry.

Nandini - the Scorpio who is traditional by day and naughty by night, she aspires to become a supermodel.

Bhavna - an intelligent and charming Sagittarius who studies astrology and enjoys reading.

Jhankhana - a Capricorn, she's a surprisingly strong, unattractive schoolgirl who has inner beauty.

Ah, I can see it now my fellow kaminey…..er…I mean friends. Vishal’s “Kaminey” will start a craze. Perhaps other producers will start throwing the word kaminey into their titles, like Kaminey ki Raat.. or Kaminey ki Kasam, or Chak de Kaminey! Ahhh, the possibilities are endless. But what about the movie you ask?

Well, in short, Vishal Bhardwaj’s “Kaminey” is a perfect example of the crazy cool greatness that Bollywood is capable of delivering once in a blue moon. It’s not for the feint of heart, nor is it for those who want to compare it to Vishal’s previous masterpieces like “Omkara”, “Maqbool”, or the fascinating fable “The Blue Umbrella”. He breaks away from his recent fascination with Shakespeare, but keeps the Shakespearean pathos of morality, sadness, and lost love alive.

Of course Vishal is a complete artist, what with his contributions not only as director, but as the music director (with “Dhan Te Nan” becoming the rage), and also as the writer of the screenplay/dialogue of the film. It’s a powerful combination of talents all within one man, and the film is elevated above the rest of the recent releases due to that.

Shahid Kapoor (Charlie and Guddu) is perfect in the film, and has come a long way from his days as the new kid on the block. It’s obvious that he is a director’s actor, and Vishal shapes his performance in a dual role masterfully. It’s not the usual stereotype set of twins that we find in apna Bollywood films (wherein the only difference is a change of clothing and attitude), but rather a complete essay in two personalities by Shahid that makes the silver screen sizzle each time either of the characters he portrays come into view. That sweety who plays a sweety, and is the sweety of many a man’s dreams, Priyanka Chopra is opposite Shahid as, ahem, Sweety. This isn’t your run of the mill girl in distress;however, as this “sweety” has teeth that can bite.

The story about twins caught up in the underworld, betrayed by people they trust and forced to run for their lives will touch the chord strings of any viewer with a heart. The soul of the film is the screenplay that once again proves how powerful the written word is to the world of the moving image. Also, I have to mention the fantastic cinematography by Tassaduq Hussain who makes the world of “Kaminey” grim, gritty and believable. It’s a highly stylized world that makes the viewer curious and uncomfortable at the same time. It’s the world of the “Kaminey”, and you will gasp as you fall into it. A must watch film and probably one of the best of the year so far. It erupts in a blast of violence and sets the stage for a human story that will move you.

Dil Bole Hadippa!

Yes guys, Rani Mukerji worked out two hours every day of the week (and lost twenty pounds)in order to give her ever so excitable desi guy fans a view of her in a sort of bikini. For some, that will be all that is necessary to flock to the theater to see the film. Oh, and there’s always the ladies of sin, Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra who display their assets for the discerning crowd. For the gals, there is always Shahid Kapoor, who spends the film pushing his hair out of the way and flexing his muscles.

Now, that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about the umpteenth romance from those purveyors of the “spinning in your wheels” philosophy, Yash Raj Films. If you are expecting something highly original, then forget it. However, if you want to see a film that is always slightly familiar (like that word that is always on the tip of your tongue) and all slightly entertaining (if in a totally harmless way) because of that, then look no further.

Rani plays the Punjabi village belle with a cricket heart of gold. She wants it all, the hero, the game, all of it. Yet, since there is no female cricket league in India, what is a talented girl to do? Aha! I got it! She’s to dress up like a man to help make her cricket dreams come true. Rani Mukerji plays the feminine Veera and the effeminate Veer with aplomb and proves that she still has what it takes in the acting department. It’s sad, that her career seems to be winding down as Bollywood producers move on to the next young skimpily clad girl. Actors the caliber of Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta seem to be a thing of the past right now. This is her movie all the way, and she is what makes the whole stale screenplay seem oddly fresh. Shahid Kapoor plays the new caption of a losing cricket team.He acts well, but this is the type of breezy role that doesn’t really push him as an actor (for that, see “Kaminey”). For those of you wondering, Rani doesn’t look older than Shahid, and in fact the two make a believable couple. The problem is in the way the romance is handled, with the clumsy cliché of dislike turning to like, turning to love. Again, Rani excels as both Veer and Veera. Too good I say!

Rani is helped to shine by director Anurag Singh, who frames each scene with a warm colorful glow that is captured expertly by cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee. Film editing by Ritesh Soni is very well done, especially during the exciting cricket climax (though the end of the match is predictable). Also, one has to mention the excellent work by makeup artists Mike Bates and Mike Stringer, who used prosthetics to transform Rani from Veera to Veer.

In the end, the blasé screenplay veers (no pun intended) down towards its inevitable climax that includes the man revealed as a woman, the winning of a major cricket game, and the omnipresent Hindi Bollywood trademark happily ever after ending. “Dil Bole Hadippa” won’t leave you wanting to see it again, but it will leave you with a feeling of buoyant if all too familiar happiness.

Arre Yaar! Apun ka bhai, Salman is back! He’s lean, mean, dangerous, and not what he seems in this ekdum paisa vasool film. When hearing about the film, it could have gone either way, as it’s choreographer Prabhudeva’s first directorial feature, and Salman hasn’t exactly been firing on all guns (his arms or the revolver kind) in his recent films. On top of that add the already fading from public consciousness Ayesha Takia, the girl next door who never quite broke out into the superstar next door (for some reason), though she has potential. Mixing three unknowns together to film a movie that marks the return of Salman to the action genre (I keep telling you Salman bhai, do more action films, you excel as the angry young (or slightly older) man). What’s more, the film was announced as having music from the ever reliable, though slightly generic team of Sajid Wajid.

So what happened to transform a film that by all rights should have been a Turkey? Well, first off, the music released and it was fantastically entertaining. Sajid Wajid, did what they do best, and that is create simple foot tapping numbers that drive the listener to hum along, whether you like it or not! Though, to see them in a different (and more creative) avatar, you’d be better off listening to their recent release “Main Aur Mrs. Khanna”. Then the promos started hitting the air waves, and bada bing, bada boom, the anticipation grew. Yes, Salman looks younger than ever and like he’s actually putting an effort. Yes, he and Ayesha have chemistry, yes the film looks slick and yes, Sallu fans have to see this film.

So was it good for you? Let’s go over the good, the bad, and the ugly of the film shall we? Well, first off, it’s a remake of a Telugu/Tamil film named “Pokiri”, so let’s not talk about originality at all. This is simply a rock on, hard-hitting masala flick wherein our lead hero pretty much oozes testosterone on the silver screen. Salman plays gangster Radhe who is doing his best to eliminate the don king Gani Bhai’s (Prakash Raj) foes one by one (or in this case dozens by dozens). Radhe is crazy with a capital C, but loves with a capital L. You see the fair maiden Jahnvi (Ayesha Takia who does fairly well) has captured not only his heart but that of the inspector with no heart, Talpade (played by the eternally sleazy Mahesh Manjrekar). Then there’s Angelina Jolie with her double guns, er, sorry that’s Hollywood’s version of “Wanted”.

Prabhudeva brings with him his out of this world cutting edge Southern sensibilities, and relishes in the Indianness that is inherent with this kind of screenplay by Shiraz Ahmed. Producer Boney Kapoor was wise to give Prabhu free rein, as the result is a movie that is a roller coaster. Just don’t give too much thought to the plotline. During a behind the scenes snippet, Prabhu spoke about how he carefully choreographed (with the assistance of Vijayan the stunt coordinator) the fight scenes, and it shows. There’s a kinetic energy in them that seems to be giving Salman a high.

So, lets talk about Salman’s acting a bit shall we? I have to say that this is probably Salman’s best performance in a long time. Whereas in more recent flicks he seemed to be sleep walking through his performances, one gets the feeling that he put in a lot of effort with this film. He carries it well, and proves that he fulfills an aspect of super stardom that Aamir and Shah Rukh don’t.

This is a perfect holiday movie to enjoy during the festive season. It will make you cheer apna Sallu on to glory, and will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling of gritty violence plus love in your heart!

The Deepak Tijori directed `Fox` has failed to appeal to the audience despite some praise for the movie as well as the performances.
Are you crazy like a fox? Feeling foxy tonight? Want to dance the fox trot? What does this have to do with the movie, “Fox” directed by Deepak Tijori (the actor turned director)? Absolutely nothing, except they might all be more entertaining than the film, “Fox” which tries too hard to be a thriller, but lacks the snap crackle pop needed and instead turns into a mediocre mish mash of infinite proportions.

Unfortunately for Arjun Rampal, the film will do absolutely nothing for his career, and breaks his recent winning streak at the box office. His acting is wooden, and he seems to have drifted through the film. That’s probably the fault of the director and the fact that the screenplay is poorly written. You see, Rampal plays a ruthless lawyer who wins every case until he develops a heart and changes his mind. He wants out, but the classic Hindi villain of the film (cue evil laughter in Hindi), has something else in mind. Now Rampal’s character is on the run and can only be helped by super cop Sunny Deol (pulled out of semi-retirement for this poor film). Udita Goswami returns to the screen because nobody demanded it. She does her usual distressed sex appeal show. The music by Monty Sharma, is so forgettable that I can’t find the words for it. Just goes to show that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is perhaps the only one capable of bringing out the talent in Monty, who just can’t live up to expectations with other directors. All in all, this fox goes nowhere fast. Perhaps Deepak Tijori could revive his acting career? Direction just doesn’t seem to be his forte.

Aagey Se Verdict: Flop

The Shreyas Talpade starrer, `Aagey Se Right`, manages to show some decent numbers in Bombay, but that is about all. It is a box-office dud for all concerned

Unfortunately, “Aagey Se Right” is just so wrong. What should have and could have been a really interesting movie focusing on two quirky characters (and a gun) turns into a mish mash of different underwritten characters that fail to capture the attention of the audience. I feel bad for Shreyas Talpade, who is the only saving grace in the film. We all know that he’s an excellent actor, but he can not save this film by himself. If he doesn’t stop this downward spiral in his career, he won’t be around much longer.

The director Indrajit Nattoji shows promise, but where this film fails is at the screenplay level. The story just does not work. Two Sisters of 'Sorority Row'

Two of MTV's reality hotties, Audrina Patridge ("The Hills") and Jamie Chung ("The Real World: San Diego"), star as college coeds in the campy horror flick "Sorority Row" (in theaters September 11), which follows a group of sorority sisters who try to cover up the death of one of their own, then find themselves being stalked by a serial killer! I got to talk to the aspiring actresses briefly about their new film -- which makes me happy that I never pledged a sorority -- as well as how they got their starts in reality television.

Michelle Williams: 'I Feel Hopeful and Grateful'
Michelle Williams has kept a relatively low profile since Heath Ledger, the father of her daughter, Matilda, tragically died in January 2008. Who can blame her? Every time Williams and her little girl step out the door of their Brooklyn brownstone, the paparazzi are ready to pounce. In an attempt to shield her child from intrusive photogs and unnecessary coverage in the tabloids, the actress has been extremely reluctant to give interviews ... until now.

"I didn't know what my boundaries were for a long time, which made interviews feel very unsafe," she shares in Vogue's October issue. "I can talk about grief, because that's mine; about single parenting; about trying to balance work and kids. But what I don't have to talk about is what happened between Heath and me in our relationship."

Clearly, the actress adored Ledger, whom she met while filming "Brokeback Mountain." "[It] was an unrepeatable moment in time, a very charmed time in my life," she recalls. The reason behind this is Ekta’s cool pair of pants which she got from Goa, and now the lady wants to flaunt them. So a birthday bash is a nice occasion for her. And it doesn’t matter if she is a bit chubby; she can still look kewl. We hope this time she will be without a tika.

Ekta wants her guests to chill out and feel completely at ease; they can wear bermudas and casuals and be relaxed, cool and enjoy, very unlike her soap actresses decked up in traditional attires and make-up all the time, even while they are sleeping.

Salman Khan has spoken up to the media about Shah Rukh Khan and his changing girlfriends . He feels that Shah Rukh is one of the most insecure actors in the industry. If he were to put his insecurity aside, he would actually be a nice guy. When they both started their careers, they were friends but as they tasted more success, they drifted apart because of his insecurity.

He also feels that the media is too quick to make comments on his personal life. If he begins to date someone, he needs time to get to know them well. And even if they aren’t in a relationship yet, they are forced to enter into one because so much is being written about them. And in case, they are not very compatible, the media writes that he changes girlfriends too often.

Our source revealed, “We were shooting one of the most vital sequences in South Africa. It was the scene where Dia introduces Irrfan to Fardeen Khan and Irrfan comes ahead and kisses Dia on the cheek, making it clear to Fardeen to not step into his territory as he suspects that there is something brewing between them. However, to everyone’s surprise, Irrfan smacked Dia on her lips. She was shocked as such a kiss was not a part of the script. Dia did not make an issue about the scene at that time, but called up Sanjay later. Dia maintained a cold demeanor towards Irrfan after the scene.”

The actress, however, chose to play down the incident and said, “Yes, I was surprised by Irrfan’s act as it was not a part of the script. But it was hardly a kiss, like you say. That’s the genius of his acting. I didn’t feel violated in any way, or bad about it as I don’t see the incident as Irrfan crossing the line. I guess he did it to establish the chemistry between us in the scene.”

Sanjay Gupta said, “Dia did call me up and talked about the incident as I was not present on the sets during the shoot. I guess Irrfan wanted to make the scene more believable, and if you see the rushes, you’ll know that Irrfan has succeeded. And since Dia is cool about it, I’m okay too.”

Shooting for Balki’s Amitabh-Abhishek starrer Paa in Oxford and Cambridge proved to be too lovely an experience for the actress to leave behind. After the whole unit left, she decided to stay for an extra week.
Recounting the experience Vidya says, “I just couldn’t help it. Just being in Cambridge shooting was not enough. I felt a deep connect with the campus and the environment. I just wanted to walk around the campus with books in hand so I’d look like a student.”
Once the shooting was over, Vidya decided to stay over. “Luckily I’ve a friend in Cambridge. I stayed with her, and her husband. It was the most enriching experience of my life. Just the air and the feel of the place are so special.”
Vidya now intends to buy herself a quiet escape route. “I can’t afford a place in Cambridge. But I know of a place near Mumbai that offers the same climate and topography. But I am not revealing it.”

Salman Khan is the next choice of Deepika.

Deepika’s entry in Bollywood with Om Santi Om alongside SRK and had since worked with Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in this summer’s smash hit Love Aaj Kal. After the success of Love Aaj Kal, her eyes set on none other than Salman Khan.

Talking about Salman, Deepika says that "I feel Salman is a very honest person. He is genuine about what he feels and what I have read and known about him, he seems to be very caring."

Let us hope that the Deepika/Sallu jodi happens so that the beauty can tick another superstar hero off her list. Currently Deepika is filming for the comedy Housefull, in which she costars with Akshay Kumar.

Expecting diva-like antics from Jennifer Aniston? No way, says her co-star in the upcoming Love Happens.

"She was very easygoing, very effortless," Aaron Eckhart, 41, said at the movie's premiere in Westwood, Calif., Tuesday. "I think that's the word I want to use: effortless."

He explains, "She keeps good people around her. She's interested. She asks questions. She gets outside of herself and lives, I would say at the very least, an interesting life. It's not really always her own. She deals with it very well."

In between photo ops with Eckhart, Aniston, 40, attended Tuesday's premiere solo, smiling, taking pictures with fans, signing autographs and talking to press - though she kept her chatter brief.

"Love - that's what I love about love," Aniston told reporters. "That's it."

She described Love Happens, her romantic drama-comedy with Eckhart, as "a really good experience. Moving. See it. You'll see why."

Guillermo Arriaga's "The Burning Plain" is a slow-simmer sort of film, taking every moment of its nearly two hours to bring its story of two families connected by tragedy to a boil. But it takes just 20 seconds to expose -- literally, expose -- its star, Charlize Theron.

Oh, yes, the gorgeous former model is naked.

But the scene leaves you far more uneasy than aroused. As mysterious loner Sylvia, Theron cuts a harsh, flawed figure in the cold, bluish light of morning. "Get out," she snaps to a man sleeping in her bed.

And she doesn't bother saying goodbye when he leaves.

"When I read the script I thought it was a great opening to the character," Theron says of her stark introduction, which might have caused any other actress to lobby for a rewrite. Charlize Theron thrown out of America!

Hollywood star Charlize Theron was kicked out of America while filming Devil's Advocate, reoprts contactmusic.com.

The star has revealed she was briefly kicked out of America as her career was taking off - because she was working illegally in Hollywood.

As her work visa expired, Theron was still fighting for roles in Hollywood - and had just landed a role opposite Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves in 2007 film The Devil's Advocate when immigration officials caught up with her.

She explains, "I had to hold out for two years after playing the femme fatale in Two Days In The Valley because people wanted me to play that role. I think there was a conscious effort on my part to hold back and I didn't work for two years and I waited and really fought for roles in The Devil's Advocate and The Yards, Cider House Rules.
